Do you remember Light Yagami and sweet-tooth protagonist "L"?
Yes they are from the popular Japanese Manga Series/Movie "Death Note", which tackles about the ability of a notebook to kill a person by writing his/her name in the notebook and how does this power affects the decision making of the owner of the notebook. Initially, when Light Yagami discovered the power of the Death Note his goal is to help clean out the evil/criminal people of the world. He wrote names of those people and they instantly died of heart attack or if Light Yagami the means of their death. But later on, Light Yagami or "Kira" turned his heart into someone god-like and easily putting death into his hands for his personal motives.
And this called the attention of the police to investigate, they asked for the help of a special investigator: "L". He is a genius investigator and what's cute is that he really likes sweet foods. And that's where the story gets really exciting on how did "L" discovered who is behind "Kira" and how they could stop "Kira" in his evil plans. Light Yagami will have a hard time also since nobody knows the real name of our cute/genius investigator " L".
At first, I thought this one's gonna be a creepy movie series (Death Note, Death Note 2: The Last Name, Death Note 3: L Change the World), you know the idea of killing someone with a stroke of a pen but as you watch the whole story you will find each character unique, cute somewhat funny like shinigami "Ryuk" and later on you will see other shinigamis (for every "Death Note" notebook there is a shinigami assigned) who are emotional in their own ways and of course how witty and cute is "L"
